- Your preferences are stored only on your device.
- No ads and no tracking tools.
El Impostor is a local party game to play with friends on a single phone. It was built with privacy in mind: no sign-up, no personal data collection and it works offline.
1. Information we collect
El Impostor does not collect, request or store personal data. You do not need to create an account, sign in, or provide your real name, email, phone number or any other identifying data to play.
The names typed during a match are just temporary labels for the game: they exist in the device's memory while the match lasts and are not saved or sent to any server.
2. Data stored on your device
To improve your experience, the app stores locally (only on your phone):
- Your settings: light/dark theme, vibration and sound.
- A temporary history of the words played during the day, so it does not repeat them in the same session. This history resets on its own every day.
This information never leaves your device and you can delete it by uninstalling the app or clearing its data from the system settings.
3. Permissions and connectivity
The game is designed to work without an internet connection. It does not request sensitive permissions such as camera, microphone, location, contacts or personal file storage. It only uses the device's vibration (haptics) for the card-reveal effect, which you can turn off in Settings.
4. Third-party services
The app does not use advertising or analytics/tracking tools. To display its typography, the app may download font files from the Google Fonts service. That download does not include personal information that identifies you; it is only the retrieval of the font files.
5. Children and general audience
El Impostor is a party game suitable for all audiences. As it does not collect personal data, it does not collect information from minors either.
6. Changes to this policy
If the app adds new features involving data processing in the future, we will update this policy and the date at the top, and notify within the app when appropriate.
7. Contact
